CEPRAZONE Bosch
Drug Category: Cephalosporin.
Generic Name: Cefoperazone sodium.
Contents: IM/IV Inj 0.25gm/0.5gm/1gm: Cefoperazone sodium 0.25gm/0.5gm/1gm; vial.
Indications: Infections due to gram positive and gram negative aerobes and anaerobes including pseudomonas auringinosa and many strains of bacteroides fragilis.
Dosage: Adults: 1-2gm bd IM or IV. By IV adult dose may be doubled. Maximum 9gm daily in divided doses. Children & Infants: 50-200 mg/kg/day given in two or more administrations. For neonates (less than 8 days) the drug should be given every 12 hours.
